TCS Employee Nida Khan Denied Interim Bail in Conversion Case

TCS Employee Nida Khan Denied Interim Bail in Conversion Case Nashik Court on Monday denied interim relief to Nida Ejaz Khan, an accused in a case involving alleged forced religious conversion and sexual harassment at a TCS Nashik BPO. Khan is one of eight individuals named in the case, and notably, she is the only one who has not yet been arrested. She had filed a criminal bail application on April 18 through her lawyers, seeking interim protection from arrest until the full hearing of her anticipatory bail application. The request for interim protection was rejected by District Judge K.G. Joshi at the Additional District Court, Nashik Road. The final hearing for her anticipatory bail application is scheduled for April 27, while a Special Investigation Team (SIT) continues its search for her. The broader case involves allegations of sexual harassment against female TCS employees and attempts to convert them to Islam. Seven other accused, including six men and a Pune-based operations/human resources manager, have already been apprehended. Khan's name appears in only one FIR, specifically related to allegations of making derogatory remarks about Hindu deities. She sought anticipatory bail citing her pregnancy and an alleged delay in the registration of the FIR.
